“Praise Be”

I won’t deny that I get a little ego boost every time I sell a print. But as the years pass, the ego seems to need ever-increasing levels of attention to have the same impact.

Which is why it was pretty cool when a stained glass artist named Scott Parson selected one of my prints as the basis for a huge window he was commissioned to create for the Franciscan Renewal Center in Phoenix.

“Sweet Superstitions” This is the image Scott selected. Summer sunrises in Arizona can be breathtaking when the exuberant cloud formations that accompany the monsoon season sweep in. This was near the entrance of Arizona’s Lost Dutchman State Park with the Superstition Mountains on the horizon.

It took a couple years, but Scott got the window completed and installed:

It’s quite a process to put these windows in place…

I don’t get to church as often as my wife would prefer, but at least my work is a permanent fixture in one.

Cheers!
